(Bass and Vocals with the Duo and Full Band, Guitar and Vocals as Solo), Mike Cross (Guitar and Vocals) and Chris Baker (Drums
and Vocals). They alwys put on an exciting show, playing your favorite dance tunes from the 60's through current Top
40. They play something for everyone at your club or party. and specialize in versatility and tailoring their set list
to perfectly suit your special event.
JULIEANN BANKS - After years of experience on the national and international showband circuit, Julieann Banks
saw first-hand a growing need for a quality alternative to the cost and stage demands of the larger groups. She has set out
to fill that need by assembling
the LEAN MEAN DANCE MACHINE that is THE
ACTIVATES! Locally, she performs with The Austin Lounge Lizards, and has spent years performing with Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes,
The Big Time, and Apaches of Paris an award winning band that showcased her own music. Internationally she has toured with
Percy Sledge ("When A Man Loves A Woman") and Legends of Las Vegas. She was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall
of Fame with The Harmon Drew Supergroup. She has performed at President George Bush's Inaugural Ball in 2001, and at several
events for the President and also Ann Richards when they were the governors of Texas.
She has garnered many awards and recognitions including: ASCAP Popular Awards Panel Program 1995 - 2007, Best Female
Vocalist - Rock (Austin Music Magazine), placed in the Austin Chronicle Music Awards, and First Place/Ticketmaster "Austin's
Best Unsigned Band" showcase. MIKE CROSS - Austin treasure Mike Cross has
one of the best voices in the nation! He moved to Austin in 1991 and as well as being a member of the Antones
Monday Night House Blues Band, his resume also includes honing his front man vocal skills with showbands like Duck Soup and
The Big Time. Mike also is a talented bassist and guitarist and backing vocalist and has lent those talents to many
Texas legends such as Storyville, WC Clark, Marcia Ball, Rusty Wier, Denim and Hamilton Loomis. Mike is also a prolific
songwriter and has released many CD's of his own music, including his latest offering - "Blues Lovin' Man". Michael
was recently honored by his musical colleagues and fellow Austinites when Mayor Will Wynn declared June 21st 2008 "Michael
Cross Day"! Other clients , events and venues these entertainers
